WELCOME

Welcome to the WREB website. The WREB examinations were developed to provide reliable clinical assessments for state licensing agencies to use in making valid licensing decisions. WREB examination results are accepted by dental and dental hygiene licensing agencies in more than 30 states. WREB administers examinations in 21 states with 38 examinations sites west of the Mississippi and 7 dental examinations sites in the East.

WREB examinations have been developed, administered, and reviewed in accordance with applicable guidelines from the American Dental Association, the American Association of Dental Examiners, the American Psychological Association, the National Council on Measurement in Education, and the American Educational Research Association. In 2005, the WREB examination programs were successfully validated, according to national testing standards, by a testing expert who is external to WREB.

INFO

Click on the Information button (on the left side of your screen) for your chosen field. You can then use the buttons to navigate the website within the dental or dental hygiene areas. We urge you to read the introductory information, which will give you basic information about WREB and the exams. The 2007 candidate guides have been posted to the site and can be viewed online, downloaded or printed at your convenience.

Applying online does NOT guarantee you a place in the exam; we suggest you send the completed forms and photographs immediately after you have applied online in order to complete your application. The earlier you apply, the greater your likelihood of getting the exam of your choice. You do not have to pay by credit card if you apply online; simply send a money order or cashier's check along with your paperwork and photos. If you need to request a particular testing date(s), you must submit the Special Accommodations form which is available for download on this website. A Candidate Guide and other materials will be sent to you in the mail after your application forms, photos, and fee(s) have been received in the WREB office.

Thank you for visiting the website and reviewing all the information that will help you with the examination process. Please feel free to contact the WREB office with any unanswered questions.

Have a great year!
